El programa de la 5ª edición de IlustraBD se diseñó en torno a la libertad, para conmemorar el 50 aniversario del 25 de abril de 1974. La muestra se organizó en colaboración con la editorial Penguin Random House Portugal que publica los libros de Mafalda.
